Yes, it's true! I made a few icons. What? You did WHAT? Yep. I've to train my Photoshop skills again, and this was of course the perfect opportunity to do that.

At the same time I wanted to celebrate the premiere of "What Happens In Vegas," which will be in Dutch theatres the day after tomorrow. I'm addicted to Cameron Diaz, she is so great. It's a beautiful day

Oh my god, the weather is sooo lovely. And today was great, also because of the weather. I went to Sonsbeek, a beautiful park, just for a walk with Dimitri. Afterwards we went to "De Blauwe Hoek," a great Turkish restaurant for dinner. It was sooo amazing. But now I'm a bit bored. Dimitri is sleeping already, but I'm not tired yet. So I copied a question list of my dear frookypooky again, as always. You don't have to read it of course, but I'm so bored that filling in those lists is a really great thing to do.

TECHNOLOGY
Q. What is your wallpaper on your computer?
Well, I'm on my notebook now and it has a beautiful bounty-island-palm tree-beach wallpaper. But on my PC I've my own created Fabio Cannavaro wallpaper. And I'm sure I'll never change it, because Fabio is pure love, and cute, and amazing, and.. Next question n_n

Q. How many televisions do you have in your house?
In the entire house? I don't know. I don't know about the other students, but I guess they all own a TV. In my room there is just one. But I guess that's enough ;-)

BIOLOGY
Q. Are you right-handed or left-handed?
Right-handed. But I'm both-legged XD

Q. Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
Yeah, some warts, but no kidneys or bowels or so.

The groceries my mom and I bought.

No, never.

BULLSHITOLOGY
Q. If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
No, absolutely not. Otherwise I'd count the days 'til I die, and I guess I'd be very, very depressed by knowing "dying day" already. I just have to enjoy life, day by day, every day again, that's what I'm trying to do. And it works, most of the time.

Q. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
Well, my full name is Cornelia Maria Rita, but even my birth ticket names me Coks. My non-Dutch speaking (Italian) family often call me Cornelia, and so do my (American) professors in university. But all the other people call me Coks, a name I don't like, but which I do love at the same time, because people always know about who you're talking. They never forget Coks, which they do with Cornelia. So no, I'd never change my name into something totally else.

Q. What color do you think looks best on you?
I think that's red. It matches really great with my brown hair and my skin color. At least some people told me that.

Q. Have you ever swallowed a non-food item?
Yeah, some flowers, because my uncle told me they taste really good. And some flowers do.

You'll probably think I'm dead, and that I never visit my own and other LJ profiles, but that's not true. I'm still updating my own Llama-movie/books/cd list, as you might have noticed. But indeed, I'm not that active at the moment. A lot of things happened last two months. A family member died at the age of 24, I had a few exams, and the familie situation at home was far from a normal one. But now everything is quite stable again, and hopefully I have more time to create icons and so. How are you?

Today it's Sunday, a day to relax, I guess. I'm a bit bored and just fifteen minutes awake.

I guess I'm going to watch one of my DVDs today. Speaking about movies, I've added new movies to my 100 Movies list: Charlie Wilson's War, Instinct, Ghost World and Analyze This, just like I added a bunch of U2 CDs and one whole book as well.

Today I'm already two weeks busy with my diet. Exciting eh.

Last week my seminars and lectures started again. I actually like it, I was a bit bored as hell.

Good news! I know how to download now! I knew it before, but then my computer crashed and after wards I went to Paris. But because I'm back now (for a very, very long time already) I started downloading again. Bad llama.
So that means that I'll add at least 50 CD's to my 100 Movies and 25 Books list.

My big fat diet

Hello y'all!

Today I had my first lecture again, and I started with Identity & Ideology, a complete new seminar. I actually liked 60% of the course outline, which is maybe a good thing, because I hated the first seminar, Culture, Arts & Media, which was a kind of introduction towards this one.

But, that was actually not what I wanted to tell you!

I'm on a diet.

A real one. It looks a bit like Atkins, which means I may not eat carbs (well, a bit, because otherwise you can eat and drink nothing but eggs and water), but I DO have to eat fat (yeah, really!) and protein, so my breakfast this morning had a very British atmosphere, because I had to eat a fried egg and three slices of bacon. My clothes are still smelling like the kitchen, it's nasty.

I do this, because of my disease. Hopefully my thyroid gland will be healthier after this diet, which I have to do for at least six months.

One semester down

Yesterday I heard my first semester grades, and first I was a bit in shock.

I had three subjects: Modern American History; Culture, Arts and Media; and Taalvaardigheid Engels I

I completed MAH already, with nothing but sufficient, and I didn't have to worry about Taalvaardigheid as well: I heard my teacher marked my final Ku Klux Klan essay with a 7+, so I'm pretty happy about that.

But ... I hate Culture, Arts and Media with all my heart, it's a pretty philosophical subject, and I'm fine with that, but this was absolutely not my cup of tea: they asked us why in the name of God we call a table and table. I was like "COM'ON!" You understand, it was pretty frustrating. I like philosophy, but just the interesting matters, not these kind of ... yeah.

But well, I didn't have great grades (haha!) for this subject, and my average was "respectively" a 5.2.
Yesterday I heard my teacher marked my essay, in my opinion the best essay I wrote out of twelve essays, with a 5.3.
I was in shock and I had to cry, because it meant that I had to do the subject all over again next year.

But fortunately they give me a 7,5 for class participation (yeah, it seems that counts too, thank GOD!), and now I finished CAM with a round 6.

The clue of the story:

I'M HAPPY! NEVER CULTURE, ARTS AND MEDIA AGAAAAIN!
(But on the other hand, how am I suppose to finish American Studies, while it is very first a CULTURE study? Hmmm...)

One semester down, one to go, to get my propaedeutics! YEAH!

Why I'm such a LJ nitwit?

I deleted my entire MJ-layout, including my sidebar, while switching from S1 to S2. I don't know if that's normal, but I was really irritated and angry with myself and with LJ.

But hey, doesn't it look fresh now?

I based the colors on my Nicole Kidman icon, I made as a final icon for a game at Bite the Bullet, a wonderful challenge website. I think I've to create a new layout when I'm back in Groningen, but first I have to find a good code for it. Pff.

And I promise I'll reply more at your journals! I know how to filter now, so I can be an active replier too, mwuaha.

I want to see at least 100 movies this year! No, I don't want to actually, but I think this is a kind of good challenge. Of some movies I don't remember the exact date anymore.. But I'll try to fill in the right one, don't blame me for that! Oh and movies I've seen already are counted too.
I want to read 25 books as well, but I don't think that's going to happen (Haven't enough time). BUT I'll try it.

Why is it so hard to update once in a while? I really don't know. It's not that I don't like LJ, I admire it, but maybe I'm just not a LJ person? Well, of course I'm busy as well, studying seems to be harder than I ever thought is would be, dammit. I have a real big exam this Tuesday, and I'm really scared.

New Layout! =D

Finally! I'm presenting you my new layout!
And I'm really proud of it. Not because it's beautiful or what kinda other bullshit, but because one of my idols Michael Jackson is on it!
Really. Finally he has a beautiful shoot, made for/by L'uomo Vogue magazine and I'm in love with the pictures. Michael looks good if you know what I mean. Of course he isn't Prince Charming, and I'm not talking about his looks, but is seems he looks happier and I think he IS happier, and because of that, I'm happy!

I'll make some new icons this week, for sure.

Hello dudes!
That's a very long time ago! Like ehm.. three months?

In these months I saw so much, I did so much and.. I celebrated so much, because I became 18 @ July 31!
Besides, from now no high school for me anymore! I'm officially a real student right now. Sounds really interesting I think!

And how are you guys? Please let me know!

I've been to Paris for four weeks, to learn French and I did a great job, I guess. My French is much better right now. Even English is at the moment more difficult for me. Really!

J'adore la langue. C'est très jolie, mais aussi très difficile pour une fille hollandaise, je pends.

Well, I guess you understand that, right? ;)
I met a lot of people in Paris, from all over the world. The most students came from Japan, Mexico and Spain, really interesting I think. I became friends with Paul, a German (who lives in Switzerland) and with Augusto, a Brazilian guy and I'm going to see them again this December!

After Paris I went to Nice, France, together with my cousin Veerle (she also went to Paris with me!) and even Paul and Augusto came to the south of France to celebrate my birthday there, it was really special.

Well, for now that's it! My computer is broken, I'm at my dad's notebook right now. I guess I'll have my PC back in three weeks. At the moment I'm moving to Groningen, and I've no internet over there, so ... I don't know when I'll see you again, guys.

I'm very busy at the moment, school is killing me. Tomorrow I've one of my Geographic exams and I still haven't learned ANYTHING.

This lay out is temporary, by the way .. I mean, it isn't my best art work (at all!) and actually it was meant as a kind of test. But I'm too tired right now for making a new one (A)
